Family Time!

This summer I've been especially busy with extended family sessions. Summer of 2021 meant no masks and families could get together more. It's fun for cousins to get together and everyone can reconnect.

I've really liked Woodland Park for family session because it's almost always shady and has lots of green grass, which is more rare since we've been in a severe drought.

Traditional Shots and Some Lifestyle Shots

Most grandparents want a traditional shot of everyone looking at the camera. It's hard to get everyone happy, but the photo will show how everyone is right then in time. I also like to show more interactions with the families and have them laugh with each other. It's more of a candid look and less formal. So I do both. My main focus is on lifestyle photography because that's when I can see more natural smiles and have photos of them playing together.

Variety of Images

In an extended family session I take photos of the individual families, couples, grandparents, grandkids, siblings, and whatever combination of photos you would like to have. Every family is so unique and I like to get to know you a bit during the session.

The little two-year-old did not want photos at all, but we got him swinging and smiling with his family. No session is perfect, but it's perfectly imperfect. Life is like that right? Ready to have photos? Questions? Please fill out the form below. Hope to hear from you!
