What can I expect at my session?
I am a more casual photographer. You don't have to worry about your kids and teens (I have 4 kids ages 18-25.). I love working with kids and worked at a portrait studio taking photos all day. It helps to just have me in charge. I promise I will find some good shots and make you look good.
Our session will feel more like play time. I like to have you walk, run, sit, lay down, and play. Just be yourself. I love all emotions. I want to bring out authentic expressions and connection in a family.
When can I see my photos?
I will send your images to an on-line gallery within 2 weeks of our shoot. I will send you a slide show of all the images. From the gallery you will choose your collection and which images you want to print, turn into an album and download.
Can I have a clothes change?
Sure! I charge by time so you can have a different outfit or 2. It's up to you. Some outdoor locations do not have a restroom, however. Just let me know.
Can I have my pet in the photos?
Absolutely! I'm an animal lover and welcome your pets. Some locations do not allow dogs so always let me know if you want your pet in the photo.
Can you photoshop someone into my photo?
I could, but it does not look natural. I highly recommend you have everyone in your photo at the time of the session. Extra edits are $100 and up.
What products do you offer?
From your gallery you can order prints, albums, wall art, an heirloom box of prints, gallery wrapped canvases, and digital images.
What do I wear?
I'll send you a guide with more specifics. I recommend neutral, solid, pastel, or earth tone colors look best. Please avoid logos, big patterns, and distracting colors and prints.
As a family you can coordinate complimentary colors. You don't have to try to match, but can have colors that look good together. Think timeless over trendy. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Simplicity is best. In the end it's more about how you FEEL than what you wear. I want the session to feel comfortable and relaxed.
Where do you take photos?
I love to shoot outside about an hour before sunset. I love mountain views, fields, parks, and trails. You can suggest a location and we can decide where you want to go.
I do have a small studio for groups up to 6 and it's great for professional head shots. We can shoot there anytime of the day and not worry about the weather.
I also offer in-home lifestyle sessions. These are great for newborns and a relaxed atmosphere. Babies feel the most comfortable at home.
What payments do you accept?
I have Zelle, business Venmo, and take credit cards. The session fee is due at the time of booking.
What if I get sick or the weather is bad?
We can always reschedule your session. Just let me know.

I've always loved photography and worked at a portrait studio before deciding to make my expensive hobby a business.
