Photo Ideas for Your Newborn Photos
When you have your newborn photos taken you'll want to share the beautiful photos with family and friends. It's fun to personalize your photos and give them as gifts. Moms and grandmas especially love to have homemade gifts. They will love to see your photos again and again. Here are some ideas on how to use your photos. If you're like me, I don't want chocolate for Mother's Day. (no offense if you love chocolate for every holiday.) I'm into photos so here are my photo ideas.
Custom Photo Book
Create a personalized photo book with some of your favorite memories and pictures of you. It would be fun to have grandma in the family photos and include them in the photo session. A photo book can include the whole story of your newborn family. You can show the details of tiny toes, tiny fingers, the cute tiny face that changes too quickly. A whole book can be made of the newborn's first days in the hospital to the photos at home. The fist 2 weeks the baby is sleepy and it's fun to have sleepy baby photos.
Canvas Print
Print one of your favorite photos of you and your mom onto a canvas and gift it to her to hang in her home. Canvas prints look more artistic. It's nice to have a large canvas on the wall. Mom and grandma will love to see you on their wall. Canvas prints can include a frame or not. I love the stretched canvas on the wall. You can have a 16x20 or even larger canvas print. Of course if you want to do an 8x10 or other size it will look amazing.
Photo Collage
Create a beautiful photo collage with pictures of you and your mom to remind her of all the special moments you've shared together. You can be extra creative and include several photos together in one print or canvas for a collage. The possibilities are endless that you can do. Sometimes I've used a frame with a place for 3 5x7 prints or other sizes together in one matted and framed collage.
Photo Blanket
My kids gave me a photo blanket for Christmas. It's actually a photo collage blanket with favorite photos from our vacations and times together. My daughter also put in a few of her favorite nature photos that I took. You can make a blanket with one photo also. It's up to you. Grandma and mom would love to snuggle up with a photo blanket for Mother's Day.
Coffee Mug
It's fun to make a mug with your photos on it. I drink a lot of tea and use a mug everyday. You can use the mug even if you don't drink coffee or tea. It's the memory of seeing your photos on the mug that matters the most.
Photo Puzzle
My husband and kids love to do puzzles. This was another idea that my daughter used for Christmas and it would work for Mother's Day too. You can decide how many pieces to have and pick the photo you want to use or use a photo collage also. My kids loved putting the puzzle together and you could give grandma a puzzle and put it together with all of you on Mother's Day. It's a gift that is easy to store also.
Digital Frame
My mom loves her digital frame and seeing the photos every day. Digital frames can hold thousands of photos. You can keep updating the photos and put new photos in the frame as much as you want. Little kids love to see themselves in photos at grandma's house and it's fun for grandma to keep seeing their grandkids.
Hope these ideas help for mother's day and other holidays when you are looking for a photo gift!
