Tips from my blog
Family Photographer in Salt Lake City, Utah
I'm a lifestyle family, newborn, maternity, senior, headshot, and portrait photographer in Davis County, Utah and work in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. I would love to travel for a destination family session also! My favorite place to take family photos is outdoors. I love the tall grass, weeds, mountain views, and Utah landscape for your photos. I grew up in Utah and have lived a while in Davis County so I know some amazing places to take photos and know the lighting in several locations. I have taken photos for hundreds of families and am experienced with kids, especially those with special needs. My oldest son is on the autism spectrum. I consider myself a patient person and I love working with kids and families. I have four older kids. They are 23, 21, 19, and 16. I grew up in North Ogden, Utah and studied photography. I started out with film photography then digital in 2008. In high school I learned black and white photography and loved it! I still love black and white photos and print them out. I also still take film photos and have 2 film cameras: a Canon AE1 and a Minolta 700X that is 30 years old. My grandpa was interested in photography and took a ton of slides. I have his Canon film camera and still develop film a bit. Film is expensive, but unique. I try to have a film like style to my photos and want my work to be timeless, not trendy. I like natural skin tones and try to keep my images pretty true to life with minimal editing.
I know how quickly your family will change and babies change to toddlers too soon! Make a memory of this time through photos. I want to freeze who you are right now into a photography that will last forever. Over time those images will be priceless.
