Graduation Photos
Graduating high school or college is a huge accomplishment. You'll always want to remember how you looked and felt when you graduated. It's fun to send graduation announcements to celebrate your achievement and have your photos printed. (See my senior photo packages here)
Choose Colors You Love
My biggest tip is to wear what you love. Wear something you feel completely comfortable in and clothes that you want to see in your printed photos. You can wear colors that are more neutral or colorful, since it's just you in the photos. In the springtime you can wear just about anything. You can wear layers with a sweater or jacket or just have a shirt.(See my senior photo guide here)
Dressy and Casual Outfits
You can choose to have both dressy and casual outfits for your senior shoot. Bring a favorite dress or suit that is flattering for the photos. I would avoid big logos on your shirts unless that is the look you love. Wear something more timeless and classic.
Iron Your Clothes
Make sure you do not have a bunch of wrinkles in your clothes. If you want a photo with your cap and gown please press the gown and take out the creases.
Simple Necklines
Don't wear anything that is too revealing or shows your bra straps. I'd avoid really low neck lines, strapless tube tops, and really short skirts. You don't want to show too much in your photos, right?
Wear Something That Shows Your Personality
If you are in a club or sport you can wear something that shows what you love to do. You can wear a band outfit, robotics t-shirt, color guard outfit, rugby jersey, etc.
Props
You can also bring props that show what you like to do. A musical instrument, ball, favorite book, or school jacket would be a fun idea.
Action Shots
If you are a dancer you can have photos of you dancing. If you're a runner you can have photos taken at the track with your track clothes on. The same with all sports. You can have photos at the ball diamond, football field, or school gym that show where you trained with the team.
